Low level LED provides a highlight to steps and the room edges, carefully positioned spotlights allow you to see your snacks without impacting your view and special features such as a starscape ceiling set the mood. A projection system is what springs to mind when we think of a Cinema and this is still, by far, the best way to enjoy a large screen. Specialised projections screens allow us to hide speakers behind for uncompromising audio quality. 4K Ultra-HD laser projection means every frame is pixel perfect and Dolby ATMOS surrounds sound provides true immersion.
LED
LED
While there is a limit to how large LED TVs can be made, the largest formats, 75" and above, make good cinema screens for smaller spaces. Speakers typically are on show with these systems but are no less impactful. LED does have advantages, the lower running costs make them better for every-day viewing.
Flex
Flex
A flex system is the best of both, with a motorised projection screen that drops in front of an LED TV. These systems allow you to use the same audio system with both options, LED for the every-day and projection for those special occasions. While not technically a dedicated Cinema these spaces have all the hallmarks of a dedicated space with added flexibility.
